HotelsChileRcInn Valparaíso, Robinson Crusoe Inn

Valparaiso a UNESCO “World Heritage City”, where the mountains meet the sea. Its hills are covered with colorful houses, and a walk through its winding streets invites visitors to spectacular experiences of the five senses.

At the Robinson Crusoe Inn, it is possible to have a similar experience. The scenic boutique Inn nestled in the hillside offers peace and tranquility among plants and natural spaces – the hotel creates the feel of the city using many elements.

The Inn is the creation of Chilean-North American Jorge Yávar, who, after 27 years of experience in the North American Hotel and Real Estate business, decided to take root in Chile. In the words of Mr. Yávar, “It is a typical country inn, a hotel concept not very common in Chile. Using intimate spaces and rustically decorated rooms, I was able to create more of a relaxed atmosphere.”

Located on Hector Calvo street, on the hill aptly named Bellavista (beautiful view), the Inn’s doors open to the Open Sky Museum (Museo a Cielo Abierto). The walls of the streets surrounding the hotel are filled with the murals painted by famous artists of the world. Atop the Inn’s eccentric façade of brass and wooden doors sits a rooftop garden. It is an enormous covered terrace that offers a spectacular 360° view of Valparaiso and the entire bay.

A day at the Inn begins with our home baked bread, a bowl of fresh fruit, some pudding or rice with milk, cereals, cheesecake, apple or lemon pie, and an omelet or crepe with blueberry sauce.
